8 WWE Wrestlers Who Originated From Africa (Photos)

Kofi Nahaje Sarkodie-Mensah, popularly known by his ring name Kofi Kingston, is an American professional wrestler currently signed to the World Wrestling Entertainment since sixteen years ago. The only African-born world champion in WWE history and the 20th overall Grand Slam Champion, Kingston is from Kumasi in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.

2. Omos

Tolulope Jordan Omogbehin is an American professional wrestler and retired college basketball player. Presently signed to WWE since 2019, where he performs on the Raw brand under his ring name Omos, Omogbehin is originally from Nigeria.

3. Ezra Judge

Ezekwesiri Nduka, popularly known by his ring name Ezra Judge, is a professional WWE wrestler and retired professional gridiron footballer.

Ezra Judge is of Nigerian descent.

4. Justin Gabriel

Phillip Paul Lloyd, popularly known by his ring name Justin Gabriel, is a professional WWE wrestler. A native of South Africa, Lloyd signed a developmental contract with World Wrestling Entertainment in 2008, and was assigned to Florida Championship Wrestling, where he won the FCW Florida Tag Team Championship and the FCW Florida Heavyweight Championship.

5. Commander Azeez

Babatunde Łukasz Aiyegbusi, who is currently performing on the Raw brand under the ring name Commander Azeez, is a Polish professional WWE wrestler and former football player. Renowned for being the second Polish wrestler to compete in the WWE since Ivan Putski, Aiyegbusi is a native of the Yoruba tribe of Nigeria.

6. David Otunga

David Daniel Otunga is an American professional WWE wrestler and actor. A runner-up on the first season of NXT, he was a two-time WWE Tag Team Champion, having one reign each with fellow Nexus members, John Cena and Michael McGillicutty.

Raymond John Leppan, better known by his ring name Adam Rose, is a professional WWE wrestler. When Leppan was signed to WWE twelve years ago, he wrestled in its developmental territory, Florida Championship Wrestling, where he won two FCW Florida Heavyweight Champion.
